Is Philadelphia capable of appreciating a team as good as the Eagles?

The offseason has yet to truly start, as the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles are still set to face off in Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans, but for the majority of the league the machinations of offseason change are well underway.

Specifically, coaching staffs are being built out, with reports of assistant coaches interviewing dominating the news feeds of teams during a dead period for player movement. To that end, Friday afternoon NFL insider Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network reported that a former Seahawks first round pick is set to join the coaching staff of new New York Jets head coach Aaron Glenn.

Aaron Curry’s on-field performance never lived up to the hopes of fans after the Seahawks selected him fourth overall in the 2009 NFL Draft, but he has slowly worked his way up the coaching ranks. After six seasons with the Charlotte 49ers, Curry joined Pete Carroll’s staff in 2019 and spent four years with the Hawks before moving up to inside linebackers coach with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

He will now team up with the twelfth overall pick in the 1994 NFL Draft, Aaron Glenn, as they look to end the longest active postseason drought in the NFL, which currently stands at 14 seasons.
