On Tuesday, the Kansas City Chiefs announced their jersey color for their Super Bowl LIX matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles: it will be their classic road white, which features bold red numbers and a thin yellow outline.
For Super Bowl LIX, the Eagles are designated the home team, giving them the first jersey color choice. They chose their midnight green jerseys, which means the combination will mirror Super Bowl LVII when the Chiefs wore white and the Eagles wore green.
Kansas City defeated Philadelphia 38-35 in that matchup.
Here are the Chiefs’ Super Bowl jersey colors since their first of the Patrick Mahomes era in 2019.
Super Bowl LIV vs. San Francisco 49ers: home red (31-20 win)
Super Bowl LV vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: home red (31-9 loss)
Super Bowl LVII vs. Philadelphia Eagles: road white (38-35 win)
Super Bowl LVIII vs. San Francisco 49ers: home red (25-22 win)
Super Bowl LIX vs. Philadelphia Eagles: road white (TBD)
The Chiefs wore their road white jerseys in the 35-10 loss to the Green Bay Packers in Super Bowl I and their home red jerseys in the 23-7 win over the Minnesota Vikings in Super Bowl IV.
