Quotes and Fight Prediction for June 28

Ahead of Saturday night’s DAZN main event between Diego Pacheco and Steven Nelson, both fighters appeared for a final press conference where they expressed their confidence in respective ability and will to get the win over one another.

“I’m definitely ready, man,” Nelson said. “Everybody’s saying ‘yeah, Steven Nelson, he’s a good fighter’ but they’ve seen an okay version of me. I have never been this focused, worked this hard, been this determined for nothing in my life and it’s going to show Saturday. I promise you that.

“(He’s) 23, from Cali, Mexican, signed to Matchroom — he take a loss, he can bounce back. I’m 36 from Omaha, Nebraska, been through hell to get here, and I mean hell and not just in boxing, military, the streets, been shot, been blown up, been through everything…I can’t afford to lose. So if he think I’m coming into this fight just to lay down, I’m not.”

Diego Pacheco was then asked about his thoughts on the fight.

“We know before we signed a fight with Steven Nelson we were looking at way bigger fights than this and they didn’t happen because the guys know what I bring when I come into the ring. And I want to thank Steven Nelson and his team for taking the fight and taking on this amazing opportunity for both of us, really.”

With both fighters steadfast in their belief of superiority, one of them will have to be proven wrong inside the ring, which will streaming live tomorrow night. For now, check out the full press conference in the video link at the top.
