Former Springbok flyhalf Elton Jantjies has confirmed that he has taken up a youth teaching function, as he continues to serve his suspension for a banned substance.

Jantjies was handed a four-year ban in January after testing optimistic for the banned substance Clenbuterol, a fat-burning and bronchial asthma medicine which additionally enhances stamina.

The 33-year-old, who shall be 38 when his ban ends, is unlikely to return to the highest flight, however this week confirmed he shall be taking on a part-time teaching function.

“I’m becoming a member of the Rugga College as a kicking coach and the brand new assault coach. I’m actually wanting ahead to the chance and might’t wait to share my expertise and my data with the children… That’s our subsequent technology,” Jantjies stated on social media.

“I’ve been pondering quite a bit in regards to the new alternative that occurred, becoming a member of the Rugga Colleges. It’s one thing that I wished to do post-rugby, however clearly, now that I’ve a bit little bit of time to type out my issues, I believe [I can] use this time [here] and work with the Rugga College,” the previous Springbok flyhalf added.

Based mostly primarily in Gauteng, Rugga Colleges has allowed present and former Lions gamers akin to lock PJ Steenkamp, centre Manuel Rass and flyhalf Vaughen Isaacs to present again to the group by way of teaching.
