Indiana sophomore guard Lenee Beaumont is out for the 2024-25 season following knee surgical procedure, this system introduced Thursday morning.
The 6-foot-1 guard from Lisle, Illinois didn’t seem in IU’s first 11 video games this season. Right here’s the total assertion from IU on Beaumont’s damage and her standing shifting ahead:
“Indiana ladies’s basketball sophomore guard Lenee Beaumont underwent profitable knee surgical procedure this week. Medical workers have decided she’s going to miss the rest of the 2024-25 season and can make the most of her medical redshirt.
“Lenee is in implausible care with our medical workers, and we’re trying ahead to her return in 2025-26.”
Beaumont appeared in 30 video games off the bench final season for the Hoosiers and averaged three factors in 9.6 minutes per recreation.
She logged a season-high 31 minutes and scored 11 factors in a win towards Northwestern on January 28.
The 2023 Illinois Miss Basketball and Gatorade Participant of the 12 months in Illinois averaged 18.8 factors, 7.4 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.7 steals per recreation as a senior at Benet Academy. Beaumont scored over 1,300 profession factors in highschool.
By using her medical redshirt, Beaumont may have three seasons of eligibility remaining.
Indiana will host Oakland on Sunday at midday ET in its remaining non-conference recreation. The Hoosiers are 8-3.
