The Worldwide Tennis Integrity Company (ITIA) confirms Świątek has accepted a one-month suspension below the Tennis Anti-Doping Program, after testing constructive for the prohibited substance trimetazidine (TMZ) in an out-of-competition pattern in August 2024. 

The ITIA accepted that the constructive take a look at was brought on by the contamination of “a regulated non-prescription medicine (melatonin), manufactured and bought in Poland that the participant had been taking for jet lag and sleep points, and that the violation was due to this fact not intentional.”

The 23-year-old Swiatek formally admitted the ADRV and accepted the sanction. Swiatek was provisionally suspended from September 12 till October 4, lacking three tournaments, which counts in direction of the sanction, leaving eight days remaining.
