Main League Baseball introduced the Gold Glove winners on Sunday, as chosen by a gaggle of managers, coaches and statistical evaluation.
Twenty-five p.c of the choice complete was decided by SABR’s Defensive Index metrics, whereas the opposite 75 p.c was decided by votes from all 30 managers and as much as six coaches from every crew. The utility Gold Glove was decided in a separate vogue, by way of a defensive formulation calculated by SABR and Rawlings.
