Novak Djokovic and Hamad Medjedovic beat Petros Tsitsipas and Aristotelis Thanos 2-1 within the doubles to finish Serbia’s Davis Cup victory over Greece in Belgrade.
Tsitsipas and Thanos put in an excellent effort to maintain Greece within the tie with Serbia, however Novak was decided to finish it as rapidly as attainable, and that’s what he did.
Collectively together with his “protégé”, Hamad Medjedovic, the Serbian tennis star recorded a 6-3, 3-6, 6-3 win towards the Greek duo.
Serbia leads Greece 3-0 after yesterday victories in each singles, by Miomir Kecmanovic and Novak Djokovic.
Within the useless rubber matches 4 and 5, Dusan Lajovic will meet Demetris Azoides and Miomir Kecmanovic will play towards Ioannis Xilas.
The 2010 champions booked their place within the 2025 Davis Cup Qualifiers from the place they are going to be one victory away from the Davis Cup Finals, whereas Greece will return to the World Group I playoffs.
