Scottie Scheffler received the Tour Championship on September 1 to notch his seventh PGA Tour event win in a season — essentially the most since Tiger Woods in 2007.

Scheffler defeated Collin Morikawa by 4 strokes within the Tour Championship, topping off a dominant season that resulted in a FedEx Cup title. Scottie Scheffler is the primary participant since Arnold Palmer in 1962 to report six PGA Tour wins in a season earlier than July 1.
