Un Crawford lento vence al last a Madrimov y es tetracampeón mundial » August 4, 2024

El estadounidense campeón mundial indiscutido de dos divisiones Terence “Bud” Crawford (40-0, 31 KOs) destronó al uzbeko campeón de peso superwelter de la WBA Israil “The Dream” Madrimov (10-0-1, 7 KOs) por decisión unánime en doce asaltos el sábado por la noche en el BMO Stadium de Los Ángeles. Un combate cerrado y difícil en el que Crawford entró mejor al last para ganar 116-112, 115-113, 115-113. Crawford también se llevó el cinturón interino de la WBO.

La pelea puso fin a la racha de 11 nocauts consecutivos de Crawford. El promotor Turki Alalshikh afirmó que tiene una oferta para que Crawford se enfrente a Canelo a principios del próximo año.

Ahora Crawford es un tetracampeón mundial tras haber sido campeón los pesos ligero, superligero y wélter.

No fue la mejor versión de Crawford, se vio lento y quizás su inactividad a los 36 años hizo efecto tras estar un año sin boxear. Crawford por momentos llegó con fuertes manos, pero su pegada no puso en problemas a Madrimov.

Crawford había ganado por nocaut sus últimas as soon as peleas y si Crawford se vio lento en superwelter, no sera muy dificil saber como podría ser en las 168 libras y llegando con 37 años.
