High seed Novak Djokovic moved one step nearer to a medal on the Paris Olympics on Thursday, when he earned a hard-fought 6-3, 7-6 (3) win in opposition to no.8 seed Stefanos Tsitsipas.
Novak broke within the fourth recreation of the opening set to take it 6-3. He trailed 2-5 in a dramatic second set, by which he saved three set factors and twice known as the physio for his proper knee. The Serbian star appeared to regain confidence in his motion in the direction of the tip. He broke the Greek twice to power a tiebreak, which he finally gained 7-3.

Up subsequent for the 24-time Grand Slam champion is eleventh seed Lorenzo Musetti, who upset defending Olympic gold medalist Alexander Zverev 7-5, 7-5.
Djokovic has gained six of his seven conferences in opposition to the Italian.
