World no.2 Novak Djokovic received a free cross into the Wimbledon semifinals on Wednesday when his quarterfinal opponent, Alex de Minaur, withdrew with a hip damage.
The Australian introduced he was pulling out of the event hours earlier than he and Djokovic had been scheduled to play one another at Centre Courtroom.
On Friday, Novak will compete within the Wimbledon semifinals towards Italian participant Lorenzo Musetti (25). Musetti secured his place within the semifinals after an exhilarating five-set victory over American Taylor Fritz (13) within the quarterfinals.
