According to Fabrizio Romano, Olympique Marseille are in advanced talks with Juventus over the proposed transfer of Timothy Weah. The deal will likely be a loan with an obligatory purchase clause, the amount of which is currently being discussed. Weah is believed to be very keen on the idea of swapping the Allianz Stadium for the Velodrome.
The 25-year-old winger, son of the famous Liberian legend George Weah, joined Juventus from LOSC Lille for a reported fee of €11million in 2023. His spell in Turin hasn’t exactly been a total success, with a contribution of no more than seven goals and as many assists in 78 matches across all competitions. In 2024/25, he started 18 Serie A matches – less than half of the campaign total – for the Bianconeri, making 12 further appearances off the bench.
Though his father played for Liberia, Weah was born in New York City and has seven goals in 44 caps as a USA international.
