Dereck Lively II recently underwent a procedure on his right foot to have bone spurs removed and was initially in a boot. Lively is expected to be ready for the start of training camp.
Lively averaged 8.7 points, 7.5 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.6 blocks in 23.1 minutes across 36 games in his second NBA season with the Dallas Mavericks. Lively missed multiple months of the season with a right ankle stress fracture.
The Mavericks have one of the deepest center rotations in the NBA with Lively, Anthony Davis and Daniel Gafford.
