Boxing continues to thrive in many places around the world, with small halls and global events entertaining fans. Scandinavia has produced many great fighters, including Ingemar Johansson and Mikkel Kessler. Here are five of the best Scandinavian boxers in 2025. If you’re looking to place a bet on any of these fighters, check out vipking app download for the latest boxing odds.

Best Scandinavian Boxers to Watch in 2025

Jacob Bank

First up on our list of Scandinavian Boxers to watch is Danish super middleweight fighter Jacob Bank (16-0, 8 KOs). The 24-year-old is a disciplined fighter who picks his punches well. His best wins have come against Damian Biacho and Ibo Maier, and he will return to action on September 13 against Tyron Zeuge.

Dina Thorslund

Undefeated Danish fighter Dina Thorslund (23-0, 9 KOs) was due back in action on July 11 against Shuretta Metcalf, before withdrawing from the fight after discovering she was pregnant with her second child.

Reflecting on the news, Thorslund said: “Life can be such a roller coaster, especially as a female boxer. I was reallylooking forward to this fight, the biggest moment of my career,” said Thorslund (23-0, 9 KOs), a 30-year-old from Denmark who signed with MVP in March.

“Recently, I found out I was pregnant, a curve I hadn’t expected, but a joyous one. Even though the decision was easy, the athlete in me is sad, as I so wanted to stand in that ring and make history. But I’ll be back. The fire that MVP has lit in me only burns even stronger, and when I do step back in the ring, there will be another little person that I can fight for and be a role model for. I plan to show my child that nothing is impossible if you work hard enough for it.”

It sounds like Thorslund will be back as soon as possible, and a fight with Cherneka Johnson sounds likely for all the belts at bantamweight.

Robin Sirwan Safar

Robin Sirwan Safar (18-0, 13 KOs) is the next on our list, and the Swedish-born cruiserweight enjoyed a breakthrough win over Sergey Kovalev, which led to him signing with Golden Boy Promotions, winning his first fight for them against Roberto Silva.

The Swedish fighter is composed and picks his punches impressively. He has also proven he carries power, and with the backing of Oscar De La Hoya, expect to see Safar in regular action as Golden Boy tries to navigate their fighter towards a world title opportunity.

Sunniva Hofstad

Next on our list of Scandinavian boxers to watch in 2025 is amateur fighter Sunniva Hofstad. She represented Norway at the 2024 Summer Olympics, but she recently won gold at the World Cup in Poland. Next up for the talented amateur is the World Championship in September 2025 in Liverpool.

Light on her feet, Hofstad is patient and looks to control the distance in her fights. She wastes very little, and Hofstad will be going to Liverpool in September full of confidence.

Badou Jack

The most established fighter on our Scandinavian boxers list is WBC world cruiserweight champion Badou Jack (29-3-3, 17 KOs). The Stockholm native has mixed at the highest level and still looks to have plenty to offer. In his most recent fight, he edged a narrow majority decision win against Noel Mikaelian on the Canelo vs William Scull undercard.

It was a close fight, so much so that the WBC ordered an immediate rematch. Both sides have until July 1 to strike a deal.
