While Tottenham might have ended their 17-year wait for a piece of silverware back on May 21st as they were crowned Europa League champions thanks to a famous 1-0 victory against Manchester United, that iconic night in Bilbao was not enough to save Ange Postecoglou from the chop.

Breaking a string of unwanted records during the 2024/25 campaign as they eventually slumped to an infamous 17th-place finish, Thomas Frank was officially appointed as Postecoglou’s replacement last month.

While the ex-Brentford boss might have only just arrived in north London, Tottenham have embarked on a remarkable start to the summer transfer window.

Alongside Mohamed Kudus’ arrival from bitter rivals West Ham in a deal that is reported to be worth £55million, Spurs look set to welcomed another marquee arrival.

With news breaking on Thursday that Frank’s new squad have trigged Morgan Gibbs-White’s £60million release clause at Nottingham Forest, Tottenham have already made a major summer statement.

However, while the Lilywhites might be set to welcome a couple of Premier League aces, the north London hierarchy are actively working on getting some of their first-team stars going in the other direction.

Looking to recoup some finances after what has been a bank-breaking past few days, we have taken a look at some of the big-name players who could be pushed out of the Spurs exit.

Son Heung-min

Since arriving from Bayer Leverkusen back in the summer of 2015, Son Heung-min has cemented his spot as a modern day icon around the white half of north London and has been one of Tottenham’s most beloved sons over the past decade.

However, despite lifting the Europa League trophy on that iconic night back in May, it appears that the South Korean talisman is set to officially announce his emotional departure from the club.

Only notching seven Premier League goals last season and struggling to find his tantalising best, it has been suggested that the 33-year-old will struggle to find regular first-team action under Frank.

Now in the final 12 months of his current deal with Spurs and with no signs of an extension being agreed, it appears that Kudus’ arrival is another signal that the Tottenham skipper will not be at the club come the start of the 2025/26 campaign.

Making 454 appearances across all competitions during his 10-year stay in the English capital, Son also registered 173 goals and will certainly leave the newly-crowned Europa League winners as one of their most important players in the Premier League era.

Richarlison

Although there might have been plenty of excitement around the white half of north London back in 2022 as Richarlison arrived following a £60million deal with Everton, it is fair to say that the Brazilian ace has failed to find his feet in N17.

Making just 15 Premier League appearances last season and registering just a quartet of top-flight strikes, the 28-year-old has often been a figure of ridicule.

While the one-time Watford striker might have passed on a potential move away from the English capital during the January transfer window, it has been heavily reported that Richalison is now fully focused on kickstarting his career away from the newly-crowned Europa League champions.

Only mustering 16 Premier League goals during his three-year stint with the Lilywhites, Tottenham are reportedly working tirelessly behind the scenes in an attempt to find a suitor for the 50-cap international.

Despite continued links over what would be a lucrative move to the Middle East, it has been suggested that Everton are keen on bringing their former talisman back to Merseyside and a bid in the region of £20million could be enough.

Yves Bissouma

While Yves Bissouma might have played the full 90 minutes during Spurs’ famous night against Manchester United on May 21st, the Mali international struggled to hold down a regular spot during Postecoglou’s final campaign in charge.

Much like Son, the former Brighton ace is now officially in the final year of his current deal in north London and both parties have been frustrated over talks in regards to an extension.

With it suggested that the likes of Rodrigo Bentancur are ahead of him in Frank’s new midfield pecking order, it has been reported that Tottenham are looking to cash in on the 28-year-old this summer.

With it suggested that Spurs have placed a £25million price tag, Bissouma has plenty of admirers from across the continent and it has been speculated that a reunion with former Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho at Fenerbahce could be a viable option.

However, with Spurs knowing that this will be their final chance to receive a respectable fee for the one-time Lille youngster, it has been suggested that Italian giants Juventus are also keeping a close eye on proceedings.
