Real Madrid reportedly make final call on Endrick’s future amid FIFA Club World Cup 2025

Endrick was once hailed as one of Real Madrid’s most promising prospects for the future, but the Brazilian teenager has yet to establish himself within the first team. Amid rising speculation over his role at the club, Los Blancos have reportedly made a final decision on Endrick’s future during the ongoing FIFA Club World Cup 2025.

After paying a base fee of €47.5 million to Palmeiras, Real Madrid hoped Endrick would emerge as their next breakout star in the 2024–25 campaign. However, the 17-year-old has struggled for minutes, ranking 22nd in total appearances under manager Carlo Ancelotti.

Endrick has started just 8 of 62 matches across all competitions, logging 852 minutes over 37 appearances. He has scored 7 goals—averaging one every 121 minutes—but suffered a setback in a late-season match against Sevilla, injuring the common hamstring tendon in his right leg. The timing of the injury ruled him out of the Club World Cup and accelerated the club’s decision regarding his immediate future.

According to Spanish journalist Josep Pedrerol, Real Madrid intend to send Endrick out on loan to secure regular playing time. A permanent move is not on the table, as the club still considers him a long-term pillar. However, with Xabi Alonso overseeing a transitional period, consistent minutes can’t be guaranteed.

El Chiringuito’s Marcos Benito also reports that Endrick hopes to recover from his injury and remain at Real Madrid to fight for a place in the squad. His ultimate goal is to earn a spot on Brazil’s roster for the 2026 World Cup, but another season with limited opportunities could force him to reconsider his stance.

Gonzalo Garcia’s emergence adds pressure

One of the revelations of Real Madrid’s Club World Cup run has been Gonzalo Garcia, who has notched 4 goals and 1 assist in 5 appearances. His impact has been crucial in helping the team reach the semifinal stage, and his emergence may directly influence Endrick’s prospects.

With Vinicius Junior and Kylian Mbappe expected to occupy the two forward roles for the rest of the season, both Garcia and Endrick are left to compete for limited opportunities. According to Spanish outlet Sport, Chelsea are eyeing Garcia, who has a €50 million release clause. A potential move could free up more minutes at Madrid—not just for García’s replacement, but for Endrick as well, who is now battling yet another rising talent in his position.
