Rodrygo’s media advisor says Saudi giants Al-Nassr have not made a bid for the Real Madrid forward, who has been linked with Arsenal.

Brazil international Rodrygo, 24, is said to be a target for Cristiano Ronaldo’s financially mighty club, with The Sun reporting that Al-Nassr want to “hijack” a move to his preferred destination of the Premier League.

“Rodrygo has not received any offers recently from Al-Nassr,” said Helo Campagnolo, speaking to Al Riyadh.

“The player is currently focusing on Real Madrid in America and is not paying attention to any news or offers.”

Rodrygo: Al Nassr, Arsenal ‘cannot send offers’

Rodrygo was on the bench for a fourth consecutive Madrid match on Saturday, when new manager Xabi Alonso brought him on as an 86th-minute substitute in a 3-2 win over Borussia Dortmund in the 2025 Fifa Club World Cup quarter-finals in New Jersey.

The former prospect for Brazilian club Santos appeared to delete a social media post promoting the game after the line-ups were announced.

“It is impossible for Rodrygo to receive any offers while he is in America, whether from Al-Nassr or any other club,” said Campagnolo.

“I do not know anything at the moment about Rodrygo’s position on joining the Saudi league.”

Rodrygo transfer fee

Arsenal are likely to face stiff competition and a high price tag for Rodrygo, who is under contract until 2028 and has won the Champions League twice and three La Liga titles since joining Madrid for £39.3 million in 2019.

Several reports have said the Gunners will need to pay more than £70m – a figure they have only eclipsed to sign Nicolas Pepe for £72m in 2019 and Declan Rice for £105m in 2023.

Al-Nassr broke their club record to sign forward Jhon Duran from Aston Villa for £65m in February and reportedly pay Ronaldo £178m a year, including a £24.5m bonus for his recent contract extension, which will rise to £38m if he stays beyond a year.

Rodrygo stats

Rodrygo played 54 times for Madrid in 2024/25, including 14 goals and nine assists, with 22 of his 30 games in La Liga as a starter.

Five of those goals and two of the assists came in the Champions League, in which he started 10 times and was on the bench twice.

He scored three more goals but provided three fewer assists in three fewer appearances in 2023/24, marking a decline from his best season yet for Madrid, which featured 19 goals and 10 assists in 57 games in 2022/23.

The Santos youth product was directly involved in 25 goals in 80 appearances for his first club and went on to make his Brazil debut as an 18-year-old in 2019 before featuring at the 2022 Fifa World Cup in Qatar, where his opening penalty was saved in a quarter-final shootout defeat to Croatia.

Brazil made him a regular in their 2024 Copa America campaign, although Rodrygo had been substituted by the time they lost a shootout to Uruguay in the quarter-finals.
