Tom Aspinall is looking to defend his UFC heavyweight title as often as possible, which could lead to four fights in the next 12 months.

In case you forgot, Aspinall is now UFC’s undisputed heavyweight champion following Jon Jones’ shocking retirement from the sport last month. Many already looked at Aspinall as the true champion of the division given Jones’ lack of activity, but it’s now official and the English star is hoping to fight as much as he can.

Aspinall, who already holds dominant wins over the likes of Sergei Pavlovich, Alexander Volkov, Curtis Blaydes Marcin Tybura, and Serghei Spivac, is hoping to clear out the rest of the division’s top 10 when it’s all said and done. As of now, Aspinall has already defeated five contenders ranked in the UFC heavyweight top 10 and is planning on accomplishing his feat by the end of 2026.

“I’d like to do four [fights] in the next 12 months,” said Aspinall during a recent interview on “One on One.” “If you look at the top ten, I have beaten 6 of them. My goal is to beat ten of the top ten. I wanna beat all ten.

“My goal is at least three [fights], maybe four, between now and like the end of 2026.”

While nothing has been made official just yet, Aspinall is expected to defend his title next against French contender Ciryl Gane. If Aspinall is able to get past Gane the last contenders in the heavyweight division for him to face would be Jailton Almeida, Waldo Cortes-Acosta, Derrick Lewis. and an overweight Tai Tuivasa.

That is, of course, unless former UFC light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira decides to make a jump to heavyweight.
