Sean Strickland storms the cage, punches fighter in face for taunting him at Tuff-N-Uff 145

Ex-UFC champion Sean Strickland got into a fight on Sunday but not the sanctioned kind after he stormed the cage and punched a fighter who taunted him after beating one of his teammates.

The melee unfolded at Tuff-N-Uff 145 in Las Vegas where undefeated prospect Luis Hernandez scored a standing guillotine choke submission win over Miles Hunsinger in the second round. As soon as the fight was over, Hernandez motioned to Hunsinger’s corner where he had Strickland and fellow UFC fighter Chris Curtis supporting him.

Hernandez did the classic “crotch chop” towards the corner and a split second later Strickland and Curtis were charging directly at him. Strickland threw a punch that connected with Hernandez and then threw another shot before backing away.

Watch the footage from the fight and aftermath below:

Curtis held onto Hernandez for several seconds before the fighter shrugged him off as officials, fighters and security rushed into the cage to separate everybody before the situation got any worse.

Based on the video posted on social media, Strickland was pulled away and Hernandez continued taunting as referee Chris Tognoni and other officials attempted to get control of the situation.

Because the fight is in Las Vegas, the Nevada State Athletic Commission is overseeing the event, which means Strickland could face some kind of potential punishment for his actions, especially if he was a licensed cornerman for the fight.
