Kevin Durant trade: Rockets, Suns not talking?

In a conversation taped midday Friday, The Athletic’s Sam Amick said this (on The Athletic NBA Daily) regarding the state of talks between the Rockets and Suns: I was told yesterday (Thursday) that Houston hadn’t talked to Phoenix since last week, and that call didn’t go particularly well. That could have changed by now, again that’s as of yesterday. They would love to have KD, but it’s on their price.Source: Rockets Wire

“One clarification here (because) we rushed at end — when I mentioned the very broad idea of 3-team trades involving Jrue Holiday + KD, I meant to indicate KD would go to the third team in those deals (i.e. maybe a team on his list) — and NOT to Boston,” Lowe wrote on social media. “The Celtics are NOT looking to trade for KD. Thus far, it sounds like the Suns aren’t interested in the trade packages being offered. So with the draft coming up, NBA insider Zach Lowe floated over Durant being connected to the Celtics, but not necessarily with the All-Star ending up in Boston. Lowe made his recent comment on his podcast Friday. “The focus for me is on Jrue Holiday,” Lowe said. “I’ve heard that there have been at least very broad discussions of three-team, Durant-related trades where Jrue Holiday is (included). I think these could be conjured by Phoenix in hopes of getting a deal done, more-or-less, where Jrue Holiday moves somewhere. It’s likely to, despite San Antonio fielding inquiries from teams looking to trade up to No. 2, while two future Hall of Famers — Giannis Antetokounmpo and Kevin Durant — could become available in potential trades.
