Manchester United’s hunt for a reliable goalscorer has been put on hold till player sales can be conducted, with Jadon Sancho among those who will be sold.

The Englishman was supposed to sign permanently with Chelsea, but the Blues opted to pay a penalty instead of triggering the obligation to buy clause due to his inconsistency.

The Stamford Bridge team also attempted to negotiate a new deal on lower wages, which the England international rejected, thereby ending all chances of a deal.

He is set to return to Old Trafford, where he has not future under Ruben Amorim, with INEOS desperate to move him on.

Where will Jadon Sancho move to?

The initially tried to offload him to West Ham, even offering a swap deal arrangement, but both options were shot down by Graham Potter.

Brentford, and Newcastle have expressed an interest but for a deal to materialise, the 25-year-old would need to take a paycut, something he has no intention of doing.

That has led to rumours of a move to Juventus, Fenerbahce and former club Borussia Dortmund all coming crashing down, as none of them can afford to pay his humongous wages.

The United star also wants to stay in the Premier League, and now, The Sun have claimed Tottenham Hotspur have joined the race for the ex-Manchester City academy graduate.

“THREE Premier League clubs are battling to sign Jadon Sancho, SunSport can reveal. And SunSport understands Aston Villa, Tottenham and Newcastle are all monitoring developments.

Spurs join the race

“Villa are thought to be keen on a loan deal for the player, but United would prefer cash to free up funds for a rebuild.

“Newcastle and Tottenham both see Sancho as a strong option as they look to build squads that can compete in the League and the Champions League.”

Whether Jadon Sancho can agree a move to North London remains to be seen. His attitude concerns, wage demands and inconsistent displays might not gel with the aforementioned teams.

Saudi Pro League sides are ready to break the bank to land the winger. That might be his last resort if he fails to agree a move within the English top-flight.
