Conor McGregor has numerous businesses outside the fight game, and it’s one reason why many claim he won’t fight again. McGregor had begun a new venture in March, and UFC commentator Lauro Sanko received the product as a gift.
Nina-Marie Daniele Reacts to Lauro Sanko Getting a Gift From Conor McGregor
Sanko was going to a charity gala when she found a special gift in her mailbox. In a recent Instagram post, the 42-year-old disclosed it was “Notorious Cigars by Conor McGregor”. Launched in March, it was created in collaboration with MJ Frias.
The UFC commentator appreciated McGregor’s gift by captioning the Instagram post, “Thank you so much [Conor McGregor] I need to find something to celebrate now!”
Popular MMA content creator Nina Marie-Daniele dropped a one-word reaction on the comments section, writing, “Gorgeous.”
McGregor’s cigars are made from tobacco fields in the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua, and Mexico. MJ Frias has been in the cigar business for quite some time, and they plan to utilize McGregor’s marketability in a joint venture.
“These cigars represent my journey—relentless, unapologetic, and crafted to perfection. Every draw is a taste of victory, of years of dedication and triumph. This isn’t just a cigar. It’s a statement,” Conor McGregor said of the Cigar, as per its website.
McGregor’s marketability was used even before MJ Frias. “The Notorious” is now a part-owner of the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championships. Dave Feldman, the BKFC founder, openly admitted that they brought McGregor in for marketing purposes, and he has been doing an incredible job.
Moreover, McGregor’s Hollywood debut, opposite Jake Gyllenhaal in “Road House,” broke records in the streaming world. The 36-year-old also became the highest-paid debutant in Hollywood, overtaking Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. Per Screen Rant, McGregor made over $5.5M for the film.
The film had a viewership count of 50,000,000, just two weeks after its release on Prime Video. Many believe that McGregor’s starring role contributed to its massive viewership. A sequel, directed by Guy Ritchie, is developing, with Gyllenhaal reprising the role. No official confirmation regarding McGregor’s presence has been announced.
In addition to the business side, McGregor is actively involved in the socio-political and economic domain of the Republic of Ireland. He has openly expressed interest in becoming the President of his nation.
As for his fighting career, McGregor had recently expressed interest in fighting Michael Chandler, who lost to Paddy Pimblett at UFC 314. The pair was initially set to fight at UFC 303 before McGregor pulled out due to a toe injury.
