Jets defense still rife with question marks after disastrous season

As a follow-up post to last night’s post (HERE), tonight’s post will be the obvious flip side with the best trade by the team ever made, in your opinion. I guess that the vast majority of the fan base would automatically tell us that the trade of Laremy Tunsil, along with Kenny Stills and a 2021 sixth-round pick, takes the title. The Tunsil trade provided the team, which was entering yet another rebuild, with a 2020 1st-round pick and a 4th-round pick, a 2021 1st-round pick and a 2nd-round pick, along with tackle Julie’n Davenport and DB Johnson Bademosi. Those picks later became trade assets for Tyreek Hill, Bradley Chubb, and draft picks Jevon Holland and Jaylen Waddle.

But what about the other trades made by the team over the years? Many of you may not be as old as some of us, but for many, the clear winner could be one of the great trades that yielded significant dividends during the Don Shula era. Shula made two trades in 1969 that proved to be huge. They acquired guard Larry Little from the San Diego Chargers in a trade for DB Mark Lamb. Linebacker Nick Buoniconti was acquired from the then-Boston Patriots in exchange for LB John Bramlett, QB Kim Hammond, and a fifth-round pick. As if those two huge names were not enough, they again made a trade the following year for wide receiver Paul Warfield’s rights from the Cleveland Browns in exchange for the number 3 overall pick in that year’s draft.

So tonight’s Phinsider Question Of The Day is:

What do you believe to be our Miami Dolphins’ best all-time trade and why?
