Former Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo appears to be on the verge of leaving Saudi Arabian side Al Nassr.
The Portugal international joined the club in 2022 after departing from United in controversial circumstances.
He has scored 99 goals in 111 matches for Al Nassr, including in a 2-3 loss to Al Fateh last night.
Ronaldo has been offered an incredibly lucrative new deal to stay at the club, thought to be around €15.2 million per month.
Nonetheless, his latest X post suggests that he will not be signing any new contract.
He took to social media to state, “this chapter is over. The story? Still being written. Grateful to all.”

The relationship between the fans and the player has certainly soured over recent months with numerous supporters showing their displeasure with his contributions.
He was booed off after yesterday’s defeat and numerous followers have expressed their desire for him to leave.
FIFA president Gianni Infantino sparked rumours the other day when he commented in an interview that Cristiano Ronaldo could still play a part in the inaugural Club World Cup next month.
He claimed, “Ronaldo might play for one of the teams as well at the Club World Cup. There are discussions.”
Mexican side Monterrey are said to be keen on signing the attacker and could partner him up with long-term teammate Sergio Ramos.
Brazilian sides have also been linked with a move for the forward. Botafogo coach Renato Paiva recently spoke on a potential move for Ronaldo and claimed, “Christmas is only in December. But if he came, you can’t say no to a star like that. Ronaldo, even at his age, is still a goal-scoring machine. In a team that creates chance after chance, he would be good.”
