Head coach Ruben Amorim has left Andre Onana and Alejandro Garnacho out of the Manchester United squad for this afternoon’s final Premier League game of the season against Aston Villa at Old Trafford.

Both players are rumoured to be leaving the club this summer, so their omission seems significant.

Altay Bayindir comes in for Onana, while Mason Mount replaces Garnacho as he did in the Europa League final.

The back three are Victor Lindelof, Harry Maguire and Ayden Heaven.

Noussair Mazraoui and Patrick Dorgu are the wing backs.

Casemiro and Bruno Fernandes are the midfield pair.

Up front, Mount is joined by Amad and Rasmus Hojlund.

Christian Eriksen, Jonny Evans and Tom Heaton may get minutes if the situation allows as, along with Lindelof, they are all likely to be playing their last game for United. Heaton is the only one whose departure is not yet confirmed by reliable journalists or by the club or player themselves.

They are joined on the subs’ bench by Diogo Dalot, Tyler Fredricson, Toby Collyer, Kobbie Mainoo, Manuel Ugarte and Chido Obi.

This means there is no place for Leny Yoro, Joshua Zirkzee or Luke Shaw, who may be injured. Matthijs de Ligt and Lisandro Martinez were already ruled out.

Depending on other results, a win today could see United finish the season in 14th place. A loss could mean a 17th place finish.

Kick-off at Old Trafford is at 4pm.
