Hello everyone,
I've been researching the first ever motor race, its clearly long before the invention of the internal combustion engine, but I'm also increasingly convinced that the well documented race in 1867 in Manchester, England was also not the first. I think "Mr. Schmidt" raced a number of people between 1858 &1867, but I have found hardly any information about him, his vehicle or any of the races. Does anyone have any more information??
