Barcelona’s La Liga title party plans: Robert Lewandowski and Lamine Yamal ready to add another to their collections — But when?

Another one to add to Robert Lewandowski’s ever-growing trophy cabinet and Lamine Yamal’s impressive list of accolades at just 17. Another triumph for a rejuvenated Barcelona under the meticulous guidance of Hansi Flick. But beyond the statistics and the silverware lies a more intriguing question: When can we expect Barcelona to hoist the La Liga trophy?

This was not just another league win. It was the culmination of a season that saw the Catalan giants reassert their authority both domestically and in their eternal battle with Real Madrid. And this time, there were no shared spoils. It was a complete sweep.

With their 2-0 victory over Espanyol on Thursday, the Blaugrana sealed the 28th La Liga title in the club’s history. The triumph capped off a domestic treble that includes the Copa del Rey and the Spanish Super Cup, making it one of the most complete campaigns in recent memory.

Barcelona’s path to glory was forged not just through tactics and resilience but through emphatic statements — none louder than their dominance in the Clasicos.

Four El Clasicos, four wins — Season sweep

In the 2024-25 season, Barcelona faced Real Madrid four times across all competitions. The results were stunning: four wins, 16 goals scored, and just seven conceded. In January, they thrashed Madrid 5–2 in the Spanish Super Cup final in Jeddah, with goals from Lewandowski, Raphinha, Balde, and the teenage sensation Lamine Yamal. Then in April, they won an electric Copa del Rey final 3–2 in extra time in Seville, with Ferran Torres playing a starring role.

And in La Liga, the Catalan giant completed the sweep with two league wins, including a thrilling 4-3 home victory that effectively knocked Los Blancos out of the title race.

When will the trophy lift take place?

So, when exactly will Barca lift the La Liga trophy? According to Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona will officially receive the La Liga trophy this Sunday during their final home match of the season against Villarreal at the Estadi Olimpic Lluis Companys in Montjuïc. The ceremony will be overseen by Rafael Louzan, president of the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF), adhering to federation protocol.

The club has prepared an emotional celebration for what promises to be a euphoric night in front of a full-capacity crowd. Unlike last season’s awkward delays when Real Madrid won the title, the Catalans’ trophy presentation will happen on time, with no controversy or postponement.
