IMOLA, Italy — McLaren teammates Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris were one-two again during Friday’s second free practice session for the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix at Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari.
Piastri, the Formula 1 point leader, turned a fastest lap of 1 minute and 15.293 seconds to edge Norris by .025 seconds for the quickest lap of the day.
“A decent day,” Piastri said. “I think there are a few bits to tidy up overnight, but that’s usual. It’s close at the front, so we’ve got a bit more to find. I’m looking forward to Qualifying tomorrow.”
The McLaren teammates have won five of the six races this season.
Pierre Gasly was third for Alpine Renault, while George Russell was fourth for Mercedes. Four-time world champion Max Verstappen rounded out the top five for Red Bull.
