New York Mets right fielder Juan Soto has yet to live up to his lofty contract, but he may be breaking out of his early cold spell.
Against the Arizona Diamondbacks on the road on Wednesday, Soto powered the Mets to a 7-1 victory.
In the top of the sixth inning, he broke a scoreless tie when he crushed a 92 mph four-seam fastball from Arizona starting pitcher Merrill Kelly for a 427-foot solo home run into center field.
