The Cleveland Cavaliers’ Evan Mobley and De’Andre Hunter are listed as questionable for Tuesday’s Game 2 against the Indiana Pacers.
Mobley injured his ankle and Hunter suffered a thumb sprain in Game 1.
“I don’t think they were dirty plays, but I think it passed a line of physicality,” said Kenny Atkinson on Monday. “That line we’ve kind of been talking about where it became excessive. I don’t think this is on Indiana; I have so much respect for how they play. But the fact of the matter, that’s on the referees.”
Atkinson added that there was “real concern” over whether Mobley and Hunter would appear in Game 2.
Darius Garland, who has been out for three straight games, is also listed as questionable.
Atkinson added that it was “difficult to gauge” Garland’s status.
Atkinson was also named NBA Coach of the Year on Monday.
