Aston Villa are ready to sell Emiliano Martinez in the summer transfer window, according to TBR. Clubs in the Saudi Pro League are interested in a deal for the Argentina international goalkeeper, who himself is ready to leave the Premier League club for a spell in the Middle East.
Villa are also reported to have identified a replacement for Martinez. TBR has claimed that the Villans, who reached the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League this season, have opened talks over signing Joan Garcia from Espanyol to replace Martinez in the first team.
Villa are seventh in the Premier League table at the moment with 57 points from 34 matches, just three points behind Chelsea, who are fifth and occupy the final UEFA Champions League spot. Unai Emeri’s side are aiming to challenge for the top five and qualify for Europe’s premier club competition next season as well.
