Someone call an undertaker!
Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) veteran Jeremy Stephens makes his promotional return against Welsh fighter Mason Jones at UFC Des Moines this Saturday, May 3, 2025, inside Wells Fargo Arena in Stephens’ hometown of Des Moines, Iowa.
“Lil Heathen” inked a one-fight deal with the UFC, and his future with the organization hinges on overcoming the formidable Jones, who is also back in the UFC after a four-fight run in Cage Warriors.
Stephens plans to hurt Jones.
“I want to put him in the f—king morgue,” Stephens said during UFC Des Moines media day. “I want to bring my pain to purpose. I got goals, I got delusions, this is just a little gas stop for the ultimate goal. He’s just an opponent like anyone else and that’s all I need, just a name so I can put a f—king toe tag on him when I whoop his ass in my home town.”
At eight years Stephens’ junior, Jones poses significant challenges for the 34-fight UFC veteran, including advantages in age, speed, and power. Stephens also faces the pressure of avoiding a tie with Clay Guida for the most losses in UFC history.
None of that fazes “Lil Heathen.”
“I don’t give a f—k [about his skillset], I’m worried about me. Me being the most vicious, ferocious, malicious fighter,” Stephens said. “I don’t care about the opponent. I’m focused on my task, my job, and what I have to do to put a motherf—ker in a bodybag, put him in the morgue.”
Good luck.
