Randy Brown produced the most memorable moment of his career earlier tonight (Sat., April 26, 2025) at UFC Kansas City LIVE on ESPN2/ESPN+ from inside T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Missouri, stopping battled-tested welterweight Nicolas Dalby with a Max Holloway-like knockout.
Brown came into tonight as a strong betting favorite, but Dalby had never been finished in his entire professional career. It was up to Brown to make some history and hand the 40-year-old Dalby his first career knockout loss. “Rude Boy” was able to accomplish that feat, but nobody expected him to do the way he did.
First off, Brown landed a nasty right hook early into the fight that completely bent Dalby’s nose. It was pretty gnarly. Dalby’s corner was able to reset his nose before the start of the second round as blood spurt out and the crowd let out a roar. Unfortunately for Dalby, resetting his broken, bloody nose didn’t help him when the action continued.
Check out Dalby’s nose below:
Brown was able to land some heavy shots on the feet early into the second and it put Dalby on ice. Dalby fired back with wild punches trying to get some respect back, but Brown timed a perfect counter right hand that slammed into Dalby’s chin and left him sleeping. The way Dalby fell to the canvas looked like Justin Gaethje’s legendary knockout loss to Max Holloway. The crowd couldn’t be happier.
As for Brown, this knockout win is sure to net him a shot at the welterweight top 15 his next time out. If he can continue to channel this aggressive style then 2025 might be a big year for “Rude Boy.” After all, Saturday’s performance is already a candidate for Knockout of the Year.
