Nottingham Forest are interested in signing Douglas Luiz from Juventus in the summer transfer window, according to Tuttosport. Forest, who are aiming to finish in the Premier League top five this season, tried to sign Luiz in the January transfer window, but Juventus turned down their advances.
Forest, though, are back for the former Aston Villa midfielder. The Reds are reported to have intensified contacts with the Brazilian star agent, Kia Joorabchian, in ‘recent days’. Juventus are now ready to cash in on the former Manchester City prospect and are hopeful of an offer from Nuno’s team.
Much was expected of Luiz when he joined Serie A giants Juventus from Premier League club Villa in the summer of 2024. The 26-year-old has made only 23 appearances for the Bianconeri so far this season, of which 16 have come in the league. Juventus are fifth in the Serie A table at the moment with 59 points from 33 matches, a point behind fourth-placed Bologna.
