Liverpool are reportedly ready to splash the cash to sign Mason Greenwood from Marseille this summer, as new boss Arne Slot prepares to shake up the Reds’ frontline.

According to Fichajes, Liverpool are willing to fork out between €75-80 million to bring the former Manchester United star back to the Premier League. Greenwood, who left England following a high-profile legal case, has since revived his career in Europe—first on loan at Getafe, and now with an impressive spell at Marseille.

Greenwood’s Revival Turns Heads Across Europe

Still just 23, Greenwood has been in electric form this season, bagging 19 goals and four assists across all competitions. His performances have sparked interest from top clubs, including Barcelona and PSG, but Liverpool appear the most serious suitor as they seek fresh attacking firepower.

Marseille, aware of rising interest, are reportedly open to selling Greenwood—for the right price. They’re expected to demand triple the fee they originally paid.

A Risky But Ambitious Move by the Reds?

Greenwood’s potential return to English football would undoubtedly be divisive. While his talent is undeniable, the controversy surrounding his past could trigger backlash among Liverpool’s fanbase. However, with the futures of Luis Diaz and Darwin Nunez in doubt, Greenwood may be seen as a bold alternative—especially as Newcastle price Liverpool out of a move for Alexander Isak.

It’s a high-stakes gamble, but one that could define Arne Slot’s early tenure at Anfield.
