Chelsea report: German media say Blues are ‘closer’ to tying deal for Arsenal target

Manchester United are making waves ahead of the summer transfer window — and their latest target is turning heads across Europe. According to reports from Fichajes, the Red Devils are preparing a jaw-dropping €135 million offer for RB Leipzig starlet Xavi Simons.

The 21-year-old Dutch sensation has lit up the Bundesliga since leaving PSG, becoming one of the most talked-about young midfielders in Europe. With technical flair, creativity in abundance, and the versatility to play across the attacking third, Simons fits the mould of United’s next-gen vision.

A Midfield Revolution Brewing at Old Trafford?

Erik ten Hag is clearly on the hunt for fresh energy in midfield — and Simons could be the crown jewel of this new era. Comfortable out wide or operating centrally, his intelligence in tight spaces and eye for goal make him a nightmare for defenders. United see him not just as a signing, but as a long-term cornerstone of their rebuild.

Can Leipzig Be Tempted to Sell?

RB Leipzig aren’t pushovers. They know the value of their assets and have no pressure to sell. Simons only recently joined them in a deal that could rise to €80 million, and his contract keeps him firmly in Leipzig’s plans. But with United pushing hard — and other top clubs sniffing around — things could get interesting fast.

This could be the start of a blockbuster transfer saga. One thing’s for sure: United mean business.
