There were some big moments across Europe on Sunday evening following Liverpool’s huge win over Leicester in the Premier League.

The Reds moved within three points of securing the title in England but things have not been as straightforward across the continent.

Inter Milan travelled to Bologna knowing they needed to win to keep their place at the top of Serie A.

Meanwhile, Bayer Leverkusen faced St Pauli in an effort to keep the pressure on Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga.

AC Milan were also in action against rivals Atalanta.

Read on to see how each side got on.

Riccardo Orsolini’s sensational 94th-minute bicycle kick secured a dramatic 1-0 win for Bologna over league leaders Inter, reigniting the Serie A title race and propelling the hosts back into the top four.

In a tight and tense contest at the Renato Dall’Ara, chances were few and far between. Inter started brightly, with Lautaro Martinez forcing an early save from Ravaglia and Augusto heading wide from the resulting corner. However, that proved to be Inter’s only shot on target all game.

Bologna gradually took control, with Aebischer and Ndoye both going close in the first half.

The hosts were rewarded deep into stoppage time when Miranda’s long throw was flicked into Orsolini’s path. The substitute acrobatically converted, sparking wild celebrations — and earning himself a yellow card for removing his shirt.

St Pauli 1-1 Bayer Leverkusen

St Pauli held Bundesliga title chasers Bayer Leverkusen to a hard-fought 1-1 draw in Hamburg, thanks to a second-half equaliser from Carlo Boukhalfa.

Leverkusen took control early, with Patrik Schick heading home from close range in the 32nd minute. The visitors appeared to be cruising, dominating possession and creating chances through Wirtz and Grimaldo.

The hosts thought they’d drawn level in the 74th minute through Morgan Guilavogui, but his goal was ruled out by VAR for handball.

Just minutes later, persistence paid off. In the 78th minute, Boukhalfa tapped in from close range following a set piece, sparking wild celebrations at the Millerntor-Stadion.

Leverkusen pushed for a winner in the closing stages, with Jonathan Tah and Piero Hincapie both testing goalkeeper Nikola Vasilj. However, St Pauli stood tall to collect a point.

Atalanta secured a crucial 1-0 win over AC Milan at San Siro, pulling 13 points clear of their Lombardy rivals and solidifying third place in Serie A.

In a tight and often cagey encounter, Ederson’s diving header just after the hour mark proved the decisive moment, as La Dea recorded their fourth victory in five meetings with the Rossoneri.

The first half was low on quality, with both sides struggling to create clear chances. Milan’s Luka Jovic came closest before the break, but it was Atalanta who broke through after half-time.

Raoul Bellanova’s smart header across goal found Ederson, who made no mistake from close range.

Ademola Lookman and Mateo Retegui nearly added to Atalanta’s lead, with Mike Maignan making a key late save to deny Lookman.

Milan’s hopes of Champions League football now appear dashed, as they remain ninth in the table.
