The return of Paddy the Fatty? Pimblett downed 5 milkshakes after UFC 314

Paddy Pimblett looked like a potential future UFC champion in Miami last weekend when he brutalized Michael Chandler with ease en route to a third round TKO victory. He’s come a long way from his early UFC days where his game had more holes than swiss cheese and he struggled with unranked opponents.

He’s cleaned his act up a lot, but one area he’s still staying sloppy with is his diet. Pimblett is known for getting fat in between fights, and we don’t fat shame lightly. The man gets downright huge, and there was worry that the man had a genuine eating disorder caused by the back-and-forth of cutting weight.

Now in a new clip from Bruce Buffer’s IT’S TIME podcast, Pimblett is sharing what he ate following the Chandler win.

Paddy Pimblett reveals he walks around at 195 lbs and had 5 milkshakes after the fight

“On Sunday I had about 5 milkshakes after the fight. This morning I woke up like 198, which is fat. That’s about the heaviest I get, I never really touch 200. Only if I’m in the… pic.twitter.com/dY5OUlEmY8

“On Sunday I had about 5 milkshakes after the fight,” he said. “This morning I woke up at 198 [pounds], which is fat. That’s about the heaviest I get, I never really touch 200. Only if I’m in the States, the food just makes me into a machine. I’m massive in the States, but when I get back to the UK, the highest I reach is like 195 pounds.”

Pimblett’s U.S. binge sessions are well documented. While travelling around the United States, Paddy regularly ate more than 10,000 calories in a day. That would require he go through camp on a 1500 calorie diet, which is pretty insane when you consider the amount of energy a professional mixed martial artist is burning through.

We’ve been harping on Pimblett’s eating habits for years, but not only does he keep making weight, he keeps fighting better. And against Michael Chandler, he was massive and looked like he’d put on a lot of new muscle. So maybe we need to reassess what’s going on. Is this less of a binge and purge and more of a bulk and cut?
