BYU freshman wing Egor Demin will declare as an early entry candidate for the 2025 NBA Draft. ESPN has Demin projected as a lottery pick in their latest mock draft.
In his lone season with the Cougars, Demin averaged 10.6 points, 3.9 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 1.2 steals per game. Demin struggled with his shot, hitting just 41.2% from the field, including 27.3% on 4.7 three-point attempts per game.
NBA teams prize the combination of Demin’s 6-foot-8 size and skill as a primary playmaker. The versatile ballhandler scored 11 points, grabbed eight rebounds and handed out eight assists in BYU’s second-round win over Wisconsin in the NCAA Tournament. Demin followed that up with 15 points and seven assists in the Cougars loss to Albama in the Sweet 16.
