A major relief pitcher and fan favorite for the Los Angeles Dodgers revealed that he almost retired before he made his way to L.A. Since his 2017 debut, he only made an Opening Day roster once before becoming a Dodger.

While on the topic of pitching, manager Dave Roberts provided an update on when fans can expect to see Shohei Ohtani make his Dodgers pitching debut. His ramping up process was halted at the end of spring to better prepare to be designated hitter, but he has since thrown his first bullpen since February.

Finally, the manager of the second place team in baseball last year, the New York Yankees, spoke out on how the Dodgers have been celebrating their world championship. The skipper even went as far as saying that he was annoyed by their offseason comments.

Roki will be fine. The Big Leagues is extremely difficult, unrelenting & will test your fortitude. This is a look that every Big Leaguer has felt. The I need to make an adjustment/get better look. Fight or flight. No doubt He will fight. #Dodgers pic.twitter.com/4Mr1kUhMNB
