Arsenal are closely monitoring Omar El Hilali, the highly-rated 21-year-old Moroccan youth international currently impressing at Espanyol. According to The Sun, the Gunners are weighing up a potential move for the versatile defender, who has a £12.5 million release clause—a fee that could prove to be a steal in today’s market.

A Rising Star in La Liga

El Hilali has been a standout performer for Espanyol this season, showcasing a blend of defensive solidity and attacking intent that makes him a valuable asset. While primarily a right-back, his ability to push forward and operate as a winger adds another dimension to his game.

Statistically, he has been one of La Liga’s most effective defenders, leading the charts in successful tackles and boasting an impressive 63 ball recoveries so far this season.
