Sinner stops Novak in Wimbledon semi-final – Novak Djokovic

Alcaraz vs Sinner, Wimbledon Final, By the Numbers

It would be one of the most incredible surprises in tennis history if Alexander Zverev ended his career without having won a single Grand Slam title. No one wants to consider this possibility for the moment, but there is no doubt that the German ace must find further solutions if he wants to finally break this curse.

Many fans and insiders thought that – without the Big 3 – Sascha would finally realize his biggest dream, but Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz became the two new references of the men’s tour and began to monopolize the Major tournaments.

The Spaniard defeated the German in the 2024 French Open final, while the Italian champion inflicted a truly peremptory lesson on him at the 2025 Australian Open earlier this year.

The player from Hamburg had been very strict with himself after the defeat to Jannik at Melbourne Park, but he knows that he must continue to believe that he can achieve this goal because he has the talent necessary to do it.

However, his recent results show that he still suffers a lot from that disappointment and that it will take him some time to get back to his best.

Courier encourages Zverev

In a recent interview with ‘Tennis.com’, former American ace Jim Courier wanted to encourage Alexander: “When I won my first Grand Slam title, it was a truly unforgettable moment that changed my life forever.

At that moment I realized that all my efforts had made sense and that I had finally realized my dream.

I hope Sascha can make it sooner or later.

Keep insisting and give yourself more chances, you will see that you will succeed. I’m sure of it.”

After being eliminated in the second round at the Indian Wells Masters 1000, the world number 2 will try to redeem himself at the Miami Open.

The finalist of the 2025 AO must regain confidence as soon as possible, so as to be ready for Roland Garros. The surface in Paris suits his game well, in fact he came within one set of lifting the trophy last year.
