Newcastle United are interested in signing Morgan Gibbs-White from Premier League rivals Nottingham Forest in the summer transfer window, according to GiveMeSport. The Magpies have identified Gibbs-White as “their ideal summer signing” if they find the cash to sign a new attacking midfielder.
However, Newcastle are aware that Forest will not sell Gibbs-White on the cheap this summer. Although the Reds would prefer to keep the 25-year-old attacking midfielder, they would consider selling him if they are offered £50 million.
Newcastle are sixth in the Premier League table at the moment with 47 points from 28 matches, two points behind fourth-placed Chelsea. Meanwhile, Forest currently find themselves third in the league standings with 51 points from 28 games. Gibbs-White has scored five goals and made six assists in 24 Premier League matches for Forest this season.
