Last offseason, the Los Angeles Rams added former Dallas Cowboys defensive tackle Neville Gallimore to help shore up their defensive line. While not posting huge numbers, Gallimore was a solid piece of the defensive line rotation and also came up huge for the Rams in the postseason.

Gallimore totaled just 19 tackles in 14 games during the regular season with no sacks or tackles for loss. But in two playoff games for the Rams, he had six tackles, 2.5 sacks, three quarterback hits, two tackles for loss and a safety.

Despite that, however, Gallimore’s time with the Rams has come to an end after just one season as the big defensive tackle has agreed to a one-year deal with the Indianapolis Colts, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter:

Gallimore is the second interior defensive lineman to leave the Rams this offseason as Bobby Brown III agreed to a deal with the Carolina Panthers. The team has also lost linebacker and leading tackler Christian Rozeboom as well as outside linebacker Michael Hoecht. Even though Gallimore did perform well in the postseason, the Rams are still well equipped up front to handle his loss.

The team agreed to a deal with former Los Angeles Chargers defensive tackle Poona Ford, who was one of the best defensive tackles in the NFL last season. Lining him up next to Kobie Turner gives the Rams an excellent interior duo while still having Jared Verse, Braden Fiske and Byron Young on the line as well.

It has been an active offseason for the Rams already with big changes on both sides of the ball. Gallimore was a solid piece for this team last year, but the Rams should be just fine without him.

Rams release WR Cooper Kupp after being unable to trade him

Arguably the toughest loss for the Rams this offseason is that of wide receiver Cooper Kupp. Just a couple of years ago Kupp had one of the best seasons of any receiver in NFL history, but injuries have hurt him recently. The Rams attempted to trade him this offseason, but with no takers the team officially released him, making him a free agent.

Kupp was a leader on this Rams team and won Super Bowl MVP in 2021 with eight catches for 92 yards and two touchdowns in the victory over the Cincinnati Bengals. The team even released a video tribute to Kupp thanking him for all he has done for the franchise in his eight seasons.
