Nottingham Forest goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey is 38 today. The Welsh international goalkeeper has 109 caps for his country and joined Forest in 2022 from Burnley.Hennessey started his career at Wolves, where he spent eight years before joining Crystal Palace.

Uruguayan Luis Suarez also turns 38 today. He is currently playing for MLS side Inter Miami, where he scored 25 goals in 37 games last season.After starting his career at Nacional in his native country, Suarez moved to Netherlands in 2006 when he joined Groningen. After a year, Ajax came in and signed him where he scored 111 goals in 159 games.Liverpool signed Suarez in January 2011 and he narrowly missed out on the Premier League in his final season at the club.After spending the next eight years in Spain for Barcelona and Athletico Madrid, Suarez returned to Nacional before moving to Brazilian side Gremio before moving to Miami.Suarez has 143 caps to his name and has scored 69 goals for Uruguay.

Former France manager Raymond Domenench celebrates his 72nd birthday today. He took charge of the national team in 2004 when he replaced Jacques Santini.Two years later, Domenech guided France to the 2006 World Cup Final but they lost on penalties to Italy in Berlin.Abysmal performances at Euro 2008 and 2010 World Cup saw France finish bottom of their groups and Domenech was sacked.

Former Scottish international Shaun Maloney is 42 today. Maloney is currently manager of Wigan Athletic, a club he played for between 2011 and 2015.Maloney started his career at Celtic before moving to Aston Villa in 2007. He returned to Celtic Park a year later and stayed until he signed for Wigan.In 2015, Maloney spent a brief period of time playing in the MLS for Chicago Fire before ending his playing career at Hull City.He started his managerial career at Hibernian in 2021 before joining Wigan two years later.

Michel Preud’homme is 65 years old today. The former Belgian goalkeeper was regarded as one of the finest of his generation, receiving Ballon d’Or nominations in 1988, 1989 and 1994.Preud’homme spent the first seventeen years of his career playing in his home country of Belgium before moving to Portuguese side Benfica in 1994. He spent five years there before retiring in 1999.Standard Liege were the first club that Preud’homme played for and he has managed the club on three occasions. He has also managed in the Netherlands and Saudi Arabia.
