The third of four major IBJJF events in 2025 happens at the Ginásio Poliesportivo José Correa in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The 2025 IBJJF Brasileiros, or Brazilian Nationals, starts Saturday (Apr. 26, 2025) and will go on for nine days up to May 4, 2025.
The gi Brazilian jiu-jitsu (BJJ) event will stream LIVE on FloGrappling, starting at 8:30 a.m. ET on Saturday, and will continue until the event concludes over a week later on Sunday. A free live stream of the earlier matches will possibly be on YouTube, which will be embedded below once it’s available.
2025 IBJJF Brasileiros preview: 5 BJJ stars continue bid for Grand Slam title
After the IBJJF Euros in January and the IBJJF Pans in March, the Brasileiros is the third of four major IBJJF tournaments in 2025, with the World Championships happening later in the year.
With golds at both the Euros and Pans, only five grapplers have the chance to continue their bid to win all four majors and become achieve the distinction as an “IBJJF Grand Slam” winner in 2025. Those four BJJ stars competing at the Brasileiros for their third major title in 2025 are Diego Pato, Tainan Dalpra, Adam Wardzinski, Janaina Maia and Gabi Pessanha.
Pato’s light featherweight division will also include two-time ADCC champ Diogo Reis, while Wardzinski’s heavyweight division is also pretty deep, with the likes of Roberto Jimenez, Gustavo Batista and Pedro Machado.
Outside of those divisions that are on Grand Slam title watch, the deep medium heavyweight division will also feature the return of BJJ star Jansen Gomes, and several other names like Francisco Lo and Uanderson Ferreira and Gabriel Costa.
Black Belt Masters divisions will kick off the first two days, with lower belts scheduled for the next few days after. The adult black belt divisions happens on the final two days, on May 3 and 4, 2025. The full list of competitors can be found here.

Over 7000 grapplers are in Sao Paulo for the 2025 IBJJF Brasileiros, with adult black belt divisions alone accounting for almost 250 grapplers. This results post will mainly focus on black belts, along with the few notable professionals and performances in the colored belts.
