Quotes from Participating Head Coaches

“We are thrilled to be participating in the Hall of Fame Tip-Off. Any time you can associate with the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame brand is a great honor. We are also excited to play a great opponent to start the season near the birthplace of basketball.” – Chris Caputo, George Washington

“We are excited about the challenge of facing a quality ACC team in the Hall of Fame Tip-Off. Anytime we can play a high-level opponent like Virginia Tech on a neutral floor, it gives our team an opportunity to grow and prepare for the rigors of the BIG EAST season. This also will be a game that our fans can embrace. Our fan base enjoys traveling to Mohegan Sun, and we appreciate that the Hall of Fame puts these games together, which allows them to see us in action close to home.” – Kim English, Providence

“We’re excited to be competing in the prestigious Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame Tip-Off event. This is a tremendous opportunity to showcase our program nationally, compete against top-tier talent, and proudly represent Bulls Nation. We’re excited for the challenge and the spotlight this brings to USF Basketball.” – Bryan Hodgson, South Florida

“We’re honored and excited to be part of the 2025 Basketball Hall of Fame Tip-Off at Mohegan Sun,” said Virginia Tech head coach Mike Young. “It’s a first-class event that showcases some intriguing matchups, and we’re looking forward to a great one with Providence. I have fond memories from the last time we were up there in 2021, and I look forward to taking our team back in November.” – Mike Young, Virginia Tech
