Week 3, Day 2, Summer season Mileage Program
Welcome to the second day and third week of the 2024 Summer season Mileage Program, which runs for ten weeks till mid-September.
Our aim is to construct you into a robust cross-country runner.
This week is week 3. Your trip is over. Now could be the time to construct constant constructing blocks to being one powerful cross-country runner. We wish to assist all 560,000 girls and boys in highschool cross nation! We like it!
Tuesday is a hill day.
When Joe Mangan and I have been teaching at Foothill Neighborhood Faculty in Los Altos Hills, California, we had a secret weapon: hills.
Actually, we’d take 800m to 5000m runners, and in six weeks, construct them into form to race a 4-mile cross-country run on powerful, hill programs throughout Northern California. We did numerous hill runs and hill repeats.
Hills are secret weapons, and they’re going to make you stronger, whether or not you’re pushing the hills or taking them straightforward.
We’ll use hills this summer season to construct your confidence, power and velocity!

Your exercise at this time is hills.
Heat up half-hour, discover a 200 meter hill, and repeat your hill cost six instances, jog down in between,
and end your exercise with a 20 minute cooldown.
